MY EDUCATION
  • 1988, Ph.D. with a mention of excellent in theoretical linguistics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London. Thesis Topic: A Syntactic Study of the Nominal Piece and its Temporals in Dar?eyya Arabic based on the Theory of Government and Binding.
  • 1983, a Diploma in theoretical linguistics with a mention of excellent. It was a joint program between the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and University College (UC) at the University of London.
  • 1977, MA in T(eaching) E(nglish) as a F(oreign) L(anguage) with a mention of excellent from the American University in Cairo. Topic of the MA dissertation: The Morphophonological Patternings in the Speech of Two Native -speaking Egyptian Children.
  • 1972, MA diploma from the Department of English Language and Literature at Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University with a mention of excellent. Topic of Baby Thesis: Unity in Cleanth Brooks.
